I actually stopped by this exhibit last weekend...it's awesome go check it out. It's
photo/documentary film exhibition that explores how 25 prominent African-Americans define being black in America. The project, photographed and filmed by Timothy Greenfield-Sanders and moderated by film critic Elvis Mitchell, was turned into an HBO documentary and features the likes of Chris Rock, Russell Simmons, Serena Williams, Toni Morrison, Colin Powell, and Slash. The large-scale portraits coupled with the looping HBO film on three flat-screens should prove to be powerful portraits.

The Brookyn Country Fair is an attempt to break free of the Starbucks Lattes, mass herds of people , and everything else that contributes to big city histeria. The fair is comprised of pie eating contests, Tye Dying, and just an all around strong sense of the southern heritage, music, and lifestyle. lol , I know what you might be thinking, but sometimes it's nice to break free of the urban vacuum...and get yourself some peace and sweet tea lol. Check it out guys, ...do something different for a change.

"The Shining" - Thompkins Square Park
